im in my late 50s, and when i was yound we had to listen to the archers evryday, we only had the speakerbox and a 1234,thing on the wall to listen to.

i dont remeber much as its been to long back, but i remebr the catchfrase, me old pal, me old beauty.walter gabreil, i think.

we had to sit through the episods
evry night, my mother was an ardent fan of the archers.long dead now.

Hello jimx!
There are a few of us Archers listeners on here: we came to try out the system when our messageboards were about to change over to dna, and some of us liked the scenery and stayed.
I'm a regular listener now, and have been for about 13 years - before that I had a break, but used to listen when I was a student, 30 years ago, in the days of Walter Gabriel and Mrs P.

ive been around here for over 4 years now

im not pc, but can get bbc and h2g2,

im more the ww2 and family searches, i spend hours in the library looking for births,deaths, and marraiges.

mostly i do ww1 and ww2,for people to past time im disabled to a point, back problems, and mild angina.

this is one i did about two years ago,im now hunting down the two that are still as missing in the story, ive just found a ref to them being in a camp in poland in 1944, a member contacted me a week back to say the f.cooney was his great uncle.so its back to the search for the two.

as i said i was about 9 to 19, thats when i left to join the army 1966.we had to listen to what mum wanted lol.

radio thearter, and many more like family favourites on sundy dinner.

we had a folders arms, but its sort of gone, it was a set of things, carpark, lounge,taproom, and so on.now no more jimx
