Film Festival has started!

It's that time of year again, folks! Despite the demise of Screen East, which has left the Cambridge Film Festival with a deficit of £18K, the festival is going ahead, and I went to the opening film last night. The big screen was completely sold out for The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec (http://www.cambridgefilmfestival.org.uk/films/2010/the-extraordinary-adventures-of-adele-blanc-sec/) and it was a great start to the event.
Described by the friend I went with as 'Indiana Jones but in French and much funnier', it has a very engaging female lead, some beautiful shots of Paris, and excellent walking talking mummies - what's not to like?
I have six more tickets so far, and keeping a few days in reserve at the end of next week for late programmed films that catch my eye.
(to be continued)

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
