Had a really good night's sleep and awoke with the conviction that my substance days are over. Obviously I still need a hefty whack of brain pharmaceuticals to stay sane, but I'm not self-medicating illegally any more. I'm going to see if my Doc will work with me to provide the chemicals my poor damaged brain needs for me to function in the world of people.

Had a good clothes shopping expedition with Sethu. Suddenly at about 3pm I became terribly tired; came home, went to bed, slept 2 hours. Feeling OK now but still quite fragile. Scored 2 beautiful shirts in Observatory.

Slept on until nine; I think this is the post-acute withdrawal syndrome kicking in. I'll have to get some more Suboxone from the Doc if I'm going to drive 1,000 miles from Jozi to Cape Town next week.
