Hi Prue
Sorry to read in ML about your nasty experience, but I'm glad to know that you're going to stick around.
All the best

Thanks annie.
I am Romila in Mustardland now - after the George Elliot novel.
Good luck for the open day tomorrow.

Yes, saw your post in there just now. Isn't Romola also the name of the actress who played the rather dim (IMHO) heroine in the TV adaptation of Daniel Deronda?
Thanks for your good wishes for tomorrow. We're having the general Open Day a bit earlier than last year, but have decided it was probably a mistake, because numbers are down. Next year we'll probably go back to having it in early May. It's such a pity if the weather's not nice, because our gardens are really pretty at the moment.

Just as they were three years ago when one of our daughters had her wedding there.
Fortunately, it was quite a bit warmer than it is at the moment.
Sorry to hear your numbers are down. I think YOB would have been tempted if he had been female

Oh - and yes - Romola is the name of that actress - I agree - she played a rather annoyingly dim character.

That's a coincidence: I was walking round the gardens with a couple of colleagues at lunchtime today, and pointing out nice spots for wedding photos. One of them (a library trainee) is getting married in July, and had wanted to get married in Cambridge, but her mamma has insisted she should get married from home - don't know where that is.
We are about to embark on a big building project - new buttery and kitchens, so no weddings for a couple of years after the end of June I think. Also no May Ball until 2007.
Key: Complain about this post
