It's not in the vicinity of Merseyside at all. Merseyside ceased to exist as a legal entity on 31st March 1986. I know, I worked for 'em. Merseyside is now but a postal address. It can't be a county, cos it has no administration. A bit like Berkshire really. When I was born very close to St Helens, it was in Lancashire. It's not moved from what I can see.
PS Liverpool happened to be in the same county too.
