Cheers for the welcome.
I do have one question I can't remember the answer to.
What is the policy regarding posting articles published elsewhere as guide entries?
I have several articles from another website that I pretty much let die a death that would probably be better off living in the Guide than dying on my site.
I assume it's okay for me to re-post them (I am the site owner, content creator, and hold the copyright), but thought it best to check first.

Um, that's tricky. Usually the answer is no because they would like all content on h2g2 to be unique. But if the other site is going down, and you are the complete owner anyway, who knows, they may well make an exception!
I recommend asking the Eds. Lil, do you have their email to hand?

Hi Rat, *waves to Vip*
I believe your articles will okay to use on H2G2 as long as they pass the <./>writing-guidelines</.> if you intend putting them through PeerReview and the Approved Guide. Also, when submitting them to PR, you should make it very clear in your opening post that these articles are you own, and are seen elsewhere on the web. This should stop them being yikes'd for plagiarism.
However, there is nothing stopping you from putting them into the Guide and marking them 'not for review'
To be certain, you could ask the Eds at h2g2Editorial(AT)bbc(DOT)co(DOT)uk
I hope this helps
