Hi Hebe
I'm just on a trawl of h2g2 looking for familiar faces from ML
I hope that you don't mind being added to my friends listing, I feel as if I need as many friends as I can get!
Hi

not at all - I'd feel honoured!. I'm strugging with the concept of all this (just posted a request for help in the Bull). But I'm sure it'll become clearer with time...... (ok that's said more in hope than certainty!)

Hi
DeeKay Bee Posted Apr 9, 2005
I'm just grabbing anyone who looks familiar, safety in numbers and all that!
I think that it's handy where it tells you that there is a new reply in a conversation you're in, I think it's any reply rather than a reply just to you, but at least you know what's going on.
I admit that I haven't had the nerve to venture into the unknown yet, I'm clinging to the rock that is MLers.

If you want to venture into the unknown just a little to get the feel of it, try <./>Askh2g2</.> - it's a bit like "The Bull" on steroids...

Well I hope you don't mind if I add you to my friends! I've just managed to add Eilis so all is not lost.... I find it a bit strange being able to see what threads we're contributing to from going to personal spaces. Actually I find personal spaces a bit weird at the moment. I haven't ventured as far as finding out where the real conversations are going on - I'm on the rock that's ML with you (think it's going to get crowded!)

Hi

I've taken being told that we don't need permission to add friends to heart, I'm just grabbing anyone who seems familiar.
I've got a window open of who is on line and keep checking it for new faces (especially anyone it says is new this week).
At some point I'll probably even look for friends of friends, it could all get rather incestuous!

DeeKay, take note... Anybody who you add to your friends list has all their conversations show up automatically on your PS... If you add too many people it can swamp your own list of conversations.

I'm sure that when (if) I get the hang of it I'll be able to rationalise it.
Can you 'divorce' your friends when you find your feet?
I think that us few first ones are just clinging together in a corner until we find our wings and soar (rather than flapping forlornly like I am at the mo)

Hey Peet!!!
Hi Hebe!!!
And Hello, Bee!!!
I came this way because Martine_s said hello on my space... and, well, I'm on Martine's Friends List... and I read mention of Peet in a journal of Martine's...
...wondered if it was THIS VERY Peet... and so I peered at Martine's Friends List.
And since I am passionate about Greek mythology, I had to see who Hebe was.
So HI!!!
Feel free to talk to me, check out my threads and journals, and put me on your Friends Lists. That goes for Hebe, DeeKay Bee, etc from ML.
What IS this ML/"The Bull" stuff!??
Hi
Hebe Posted Apr 10, 2005
Hi Dragonfly
ML is Mustardland as we (affectionately) know the BBC message boards for the Archers (er Radio 4 story of everyday rural folk coming to a radio near you everyday at 7.00 pm ish if you don't know).
We're being shifted over to DNA style boards at some time in the nearish future so some of us have come over to have a look / get used to the new stuff. Peet posts in ML and has been looking after us as we try and find our way around.
We have a poster known as Dragonfly over in ML and I think Martine may have thought you were her.
Oh yes the Bull is our pub (er message board) for talking about anything other than the Archers and if you ever want to pop over please have a cyberdrink of your choice on my tab!
