Hi Gandalf ( I won't ask the obvious)
You'll find me under "Zacombo Grog" or otherwise 149112.
I see that you speak Milliganese. Gut Ja.
Um, I'm quite new here, so I'm just saying "howdy" to a couple of peoples around and hoping for some sort of input in the world of h2g2, but I think I've got the jist of it all.
See Ya around
P.S. Ever been to South Africa?

Hi Zacombo!!
Have you really given up drinking? Or has it given YOU up???
Bad for your health whichever way you look at it.
Where's South Africa, anyway!?!?!?

Hey there.
South Africa is just over the horizon. On a clear day, you still can't see it from England.
This is difficult...erm, I'm trying to record a song and type at the same time.
Bugger....tape got mangled. That can wait till later, back to full time typing.
Drinking....mmm, I think I gave it up. I was up to a bottle of vodka in 36.5 minutes(maybe check with Guiness Book to see if I qualify). That happened every night. Now I'm on about three beers a week. My brain just started working yesterday.
Did you fly 'planes in the RAF?
Just got the last two Spike war books last night, so I'm being very unconstructive today. I also got all the Pratchett novels, but in graphic novel format. Damn, there goes my week....

Oops, forgot, South Africa is where JRR Tolkein's son was in the Air Force. JRR sent all of his manuscripts to his son to proofread them for him. He was based at Dunnotar AFB nearby Springs (Sort of east of Johannesburg).
Another South African thing is Nelson Mandela, although I've no idea what he's famous for....
Thought you might like to know...

No I did not fly planes. That was reserved for Officer types!!!
Flew pretty good after a few jars of beer in the NAAFI though!!!!
Nelson Mandela?? Isn't that the (coloured) ex-prisoner that was given the Prime Minister's job, or President's job??????
That's what UK TV told us anyway!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, in the RAF I made sure that the Officers who watched the other Officers flying the planes could tell each other where they were, or vice-versa???????????????????????
I worked on the RADAR!!!!!!!!!

NAAFI? Wha??????? Never did get the full version of that.
I know it's kind of like the bar/shop/piano hall, but what does it STAND for?
Radar's cool, you ever misdirect any unfortunate officers you happened to not like?
Nelson was the President up until last year or the year before...who knows, now we've got a certain Thabo Mbeki on the job. Say no more. Yeah, he was in prison for 27 years or something for blowing up bridges and being a general thorn in the side of the dumb ass Afrikaaners (at the time : I add this bit to foil any conspiracy theory that might be happening). Anyway, I didn't do it, I wasn't born, I didn't see it. That's MY alibi, anyway...
Now you know. Hope it makes you feel better.
I was in the medics and VIP protect in the army. It got pretty interesting.
See ya later
