Hello Philipius The Hermit. I'm Bluebottle, and yes, I often feel that the world is totally wrong. I personally feel that the world is mad, and I am also mad, but we are mad in opposing ways.
But luckily most other people on h2g2 feel about the same an are friendly, which is always useful. 
So, hopefully you'll settle in and like it here too.
