Hi BH,
I know we've had some conversations in the past. I've just added you to my friends list. Hope you don't mind. Any lover of cornbread is a friend of mine.

I don't mind at all Phred - I'll return the gesture if I may
I was pretty much a cornbread virgin until I came to Texas and was taken to Threadgill's (::AHEM:: A3814021 - scroll down to the last two sections). Then I became a fan of Alton Brown and Good Eats on FoodTV. Once I tried his cornbread recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_16459,00.html I was hooked
I don't have a TV any more, and Good Eats is one of the few things I miss. Alton has come to Austin twice since I've been watching the show - me and the wife went both times
I got my picture taken with him

Austin is a wonderful place. I visited there often when I worked for the American Cancer Society (until last Friday). We have some centralized data center operations there..I think I've read some interesting aricles you've written about Austin?

I have written a few Thank you for saying that they're interesting.
By the way - that piece from 'Witness' that I just posted in a new journal thread doesn't strictly fall under the remit of copyright - it's a very small extract from something much larger and is therefore classed as 'fair use'

You know, I've actually read the rules. I won't forget and copy and paste anything in the future, however small, especially without attribution. I've done that twice now and that's enough. Rewriting is easy enough. I do know anything over about 100 years old like Kipling or Emily Dickinson is fair game, but you still want to give the old folks credit.

Of course
It is something of a minefield and I don't claim to fully understand it, but it never hurts to attribute
