Clare

Thanks for replying to me in that "introduce yourself" thread. So tell me about you then.

Like I said I am a bit of a newbie on here and I dont get to come on as often as I would like - too many things to do with the little ones.

Charlie is now at nursery 3 times a week and grace has just started crawling this week which keeps me on my toes.

Anyway - hello.

Hello Clare - I'm so sorry about not reply promptly - I rarely scroll all the way down my page and didn't notice the new conversation smiley - blush

Elspeth has just started moving this week. It's a sort of drag-crawl, but she can only go backwards! She's finding it very frustrating, and usually ends up in tears, but I keep encouraging her to try because I don't see how she'll get better otherwise, but I don't want to put her off! Oh dear, what do you think I should do?

I've also been thinking long and hard about going back to work, and I think I'm coming down on the side of *not* returning, which is quite a surprise to me, as I always palnned to go back. One of the hardest decisions to make....

I do hope that all four of you are doing well

Sorry again about the delay

Grace took a while to crawl -she kept gettng one leg stuck and getting very frustrated - I think you just have to keep encouraging them.

I didnt return to worka nd I can honestly say I dont regret it - I do miss the people but not the work. The money was nice but so is seeing my little ones grow up.

I decided to sell Avon to get a bit of money and that works brilliants because I can do it with the children of when my hubby comes home - very little work and a lot of reward.

I remember people doing Avon at College - the returns seemed very small - is it really worth all that trudging door-to-door? smiley - smiley

Well I think it is - you get 25% of everything you sell so if a customer busy something for £10 you get £2.50 of that profit which isnt bad at all. The only time I thought it was hard was at the beginning. I chose to knock at people's doors to see if they wanted a book so that I didnt just post it through and waste thier time and mine. After the initial work you then know who to deliver to every month and who isnt interested. I make about £75 - £100 rpfit every three weeks. But at Xmas time my profits are huge. I bought Simon at Tag Hauer watch this Xmas which was £1000 and I paid for it with my Avon money. It felt really good to spoil him but not have him see money go out of the joint account.

Yes you do have to pay for catalogues but to be honest it works out about £4 - the more you order the cheaper it works out.
