The Pink Dandelion (Taraxacum non-officinale) - Keeper of the Shrubbery Posted Dec 12, 2000
If you like
However, the POINT (if there ever was one) is that I'm particularly interested in any info pertaining to medical malpractice, or anything else that'll get my medical journo housemate a pat on the back. Or if you have any great ecommerce gossip, that might get me a pat on the back, that'll do fine. Or film star gossip (other -mad welsh- housemate) or just dish the dirt on anyone else famous...I know where to place it. (I could use the cash!)
Erm.
Or you could be really daring and give us some outside information. Trees, flowers and stuff. Postmodernism rocks (except that isn't it..)

Don't worry, S,mob?(oB)-KoKCS. I'm sure you have some very interesting info
Why Dr. Wonky Mungbean? Ummm, dunno, I spose its cos I couldn't think of anything better
I haven't got any insider info pertaining to malpractice - all my colleagues are highly professional and by the book. I could give you stuff on how NHS management s**ts from a very great height on junior doctors, but that wouldn't do my career any good, so I won't.
The only insider info I can really give you isn't the sort of thing that would make good front page headlines...

Oh well..
How's about malicious evil non-NHS-related (non-medical, heck) gossip just to appease my need to be bitchy. (Constantly suppressed in my all-male office. darn)

Being a junior doctor is a thankless job, methinks.

SIMULPOST!!!
No need to apologise. Blathering, I can do.
Or I could if my net didn't drop out on me on a regular basis.

Well, I do know the people who kicked Simon Callow's dog into the Grand Union Canal in Camden once. Mr. Callow was, shall we say, slightly ruffled by the incident.
And my old flatmate slept with Richard Vranch's fiancee at the Edinburgh festival. (You know, the bloke off whose line is it anyway).
And I once had a wee next to the guitarist from Cud once in Leeds. I couldn't help noticing what a small willy he had.
I'll try and find out more gossip for you

When I was a kid I got a piggy back from Nick Mason, Pink Floyd Drummer.
Ummmm... Thats it. I'm afraid my gossip isn't all that good. Sorry.
*looks at floor*
I'll try harder next time.
*stares out of window and trembles bottom lip*
*disappears outside for a cigarette*

Never mind. I almost met Jack Thompson once.
But perhaps non-Aussies may not have heard of him?
And I almost met our Prime Minister too, the day before he was elected.

You can be sure I've never heard of him!
Is your prime minister a nice person, or a bit creepy like ours?

He's, you know, a politician. He's actually made two big brave moves since he's been elected, which makes him stick a little out from the bunch (who I've noticed have a tendency to look all the same).
Personally, what I'd really like to see is them all working together: the government and the opposition actually working to make this country better, instead of bickering amongst themselves. But that will probably happen when aliens invade Antarctica and set up a glorious civilisation there.
What can you do?
Oh dear, that was a long political rant, wasn't it?

Pink giggles at Dr M's description of the evil Tony Blair PM (I am Tory plan B) as " a bit creepy" and sidles back into the conversation.
My mate Kate took Paul Merton's pint by mistake once.
Personally my best moments range from physically bumping into Chris Evans (in Golden Square, though, so it hardly counts), to standing next to Keith Allen on Reading Station while he swore loudly at some over-enthusiastic 'Vindaloo' singers, to sitting opposite George Dawes on the tube. Hardly great.
Ooh, but my ex-boyfriend but (hastily counts on fingers) six's Dad is a friend of Ben Elton's Dad - that's almost cool...
No, they're all crap.
Wow, buttercup, that is almost cool. Oooh, i've just thought of another one. I sat down to dinner at St John's College (Oxford) with the ex-PM of Austria (which is NEARLY as good as actual PM of Australia, despite the missing letters etc)
-sigh- why isn't my life more exciting?
Ooh, and I kissed Dr Karl Kennedy from Neighbours (and hugged Harold - but Karl's something else....) but that was very artificial.
AND
One of my friends saw Rolf Harris at Cardiff train station.
So, Auzzie boy, whereabouts are you from and does it have good pubs? (Am visiting Oz June-Sep next year so need to know pub locations in advance. )

Wow, a few pathetic claims to fame (no kicking dogs or *anything*) and I think that's my longest message yet on this thread!

Oh I do know a chap whose godfather is Terry Jones out of Python.
And I know a chap who slept with Lisa Stansfield's sister.
(I've never slept with *anyone* famous).
I bumped into Bruno Brookes in a bar in Wapping (I used to live there), and he was really drunk and on his own. He got chucked out towards the end of the night if I remember rightly.
Oh and I did the sound for Paul Weller's bassist once at a gig.
And I forgot my big one - I know Zoe Ball's mum Julia, and my parents went to Zoe's wedding. And my dad got a dance out of her.

Hm, I'm terrible at good poetry, this is why I wrote an article on bad poetry (it links off my page, if you'd like to read it -- it's been sitting in Peer Review for a while) I'll wander over and take a look.
I'm from Sydney. There are a lot of good pubs around the place. I'm trying to remember this really nice one I went to once. Don't get out as much as I used to.
