Just want to say another Big THANKS for saving my sanity today!
I'm new to H2G2, and although I've had a few teething problems, I love the site!

I'm a doc too - In South Wales, currently working in A&E...bloody shift-work.

BTW, got a mate just started a surgical rotation in Royal Free - haven't heard from her since she started the job...does that mean she's been abducted into the land of hard work and nerdship?

Hi,
I used to be a clinical oncology SHO - did lots of palliative care stuff in that job. It was *THE* most rewarding thing I've ever done. The knowledge that somebody is going to have quality of life and dignity in the last months/ weeks/ years of their life is something I will never forget. Of course, it can be emotionally draining, but it is well worth it. It would be a career move you would never regret.

BTW, where abouts are you in S Wales - I'm trying to track an old colleague of mine down called Simon Bedwani. Last I heard he was in S Wales doing a paeds rotation. Not by any chance at your hospital is he?

There's a Dr Bedwani in Cardiff who is a Lecturer in Physiology. Not sure if his name is Simon though.

My mate's name is Linsey - she started her job there 3 weeks ago.

If you're having trouble with your what-not, I wouldn't sit down.
Especially if your do-dah is playing up as well (the cold surface will do you no favours). Pop round to the village vets, and we'll have you wormed.
