h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I just checked the stats on the H2G2 team on the Cancer/Smallpox Project on Grid.org and the total processor time has just passed the year mark.

I actually just checked the stats the other day and was very surprised - I had no idea there were so many members! Last time I checked, before I went overseas for a couple of months, there were only two!

Yeah, well I had wanted to do something like this for some time but it was hardly worth it when I was on pay as you go. Once I finally got on to broadband I went looking for the team that was supposed to be running for the 70 Wild Miles charity triathlon, the team was there but nobody was active!
Luckily I saw a plug for the hootoo team ( I think it was on pheloxi's page) so I signed up hoping nobody would mind. I couldn't get my own name but I took the nearest I could think of.

Unfortunately I'm about to drop out of the picture entirely - I'm moving somewhere without a phoneline, let alone internet access. But the program's still on my computer, I'll return some day...

You're just in time to celebrate my first full year of processing time on Grid org. 364days 6-odd hours just now, so the next update should clock up the year.

Just over 13 months on from my first posting here and we've moved from one year of processing time to five years!

And I've clocked up 200,000 points at the same time, we're ticking along steadily

Yes 6 years worth of computing, 6250 results and 925000 points!

And my own total is over 250000 pts.

That's a MILLION points up for the h2g2 team!
