So, how does it feel to finally have a REAL DAY OFF? Has your cell phone stopped ringing at 6am? Did you sleep in? Do you miss it at all? Are you looking forwrd to establishing a non-corporate identity?

I know, I know...lots of questions. I guess I'm just excited for you.

Sorry I missed responding to this.....

All three days I have had off have been GREAT. I have been sleeping in, and although my cell phone went off at 8am this morning, it was a personal call so no big deal. I don't miss work at all. I miss the people a little, and I found out today that I missed an opportunity for a fairly nice bonus from that company that purchased us, but oh well, I left at the right time for me.

I am definitely looking forward to establishing myself as a non-corporate, stress-reduced, free-time having, relaxed person. I have already begun on my list of things that have been put off for way too long. I am probably going down to LA tomorrow to visit IKEA, see Kelli, who is visiting E-Link, and hang out at Casa de la Rossi. Glenn is coming with me, and a good time should be had by all.

I think at the end of August I am going to go to AZ and see the family. I am also contemplating getting my tongue pierced. I wasn't able to while working for ONEM because of the perception issues it would cause above me, but I think I can now.... we will see if I go through with it.

I never took you for the piercing type of guy. You flipped when Ben got pierced.

I guess I don't know you as well as I thought.

I flipped when Ben got his NIPPLE pierced.... I am just not that brave. I have heard that it greatly increases the sensetivity of the nipple, which is good in some situations, and bad in others. It just wasn't something that I would do....AND I freaked because he did it on a whim without really thinking about it. He did it just so he could show it to others, not for himself.

I really am not a piercing type of guy, but the tongue piercing is one that I have thought about for quite a while. I would have gotten it done while I was still GM, but there would have been political ramifications. No one in SLO would have cared, but the people above me already thought of me as the "long-haired young kid from CA" (ok, I am paraphrasing a bit here), and a pierced tongue wouldn't have helped that.

The cool thing about a tongue piercing is that it isn't very painful (I have heard), it heals the fastest, and if I choose to take it out, it will heal-up the quickest. I don't think it will be an issue in any job I get for the next year, so why shouldn't I, while I can?

Besides, this one is a LOT more doable that the other piercing I want, you know the achilles tendon one that makes everyone wince?
