*yawn* monday after a fun weekend
Posted Aug 21, 2000
I'm exhausted at work today... its cruel to make a teen in her prime get up this early in the summer...and on a monday nonetheless! I had a sweet weekend though. I went out to see "The Cell", a really good movie. It had pretty good special effects, I caught myself with my eyes and mouth wide open sereral times. One guy in the audience said "Drugs are Bad" when this guy was halucinating in the movie...and the next thing the guy in the movie said was "mm-kay" Now that was funny!
I went to my friend Kevin's house, where we were going to watch "The Whole Nine Yards", but people kept trickling into his house, and we got into the habit of pausing the movie. We eventually gave up and talked the whole time. One of my friends brought over this girl who I hadent seen since 7th grade. I dont know if she remembered me or not. I felt sorry for her, though because our conversation consisted mostly of private jokes, and she was completely out of the loop.
Yesterday, I went swing dancing. Indigo, formally Indigo Swing, was playing, and their new singer is really great, by the way. I met lots of really cute guys...but unfortunately, most of the cute and tall ones couldnt dance! And it really is unfortunate, that I'm not a great teacher or lead. It was good though, and I am definately worn out today.

My Birthday is Next Week!!!
Posted Jul 21, 2000
Yay, I'll be 17, everyone has to say Happy Birthday to me now that you know when it is!!! I'm going to have a beach party with my friends...too bad my parents have to come; they're driving. I dont know what I want for presents, lots of my friends have asked. I think I told one to get me a Lords of Acid CD, and I think I told another to be creative (I'm kinda scared about that one). It's odd, I've tried so hard to convince myself that I'm not materialistic, and I guess it's worked, because I really dont know what I want...I dont think I want anything. But then it is sappy to say "oh, I dont want anything, just you being there is a gift in itself." GAG!
Anyhoo, I'm working really hard this summer, so my party is well deserved. I never get to hang out with my friends, I'm so busy. If anyone has realistic ideas about what I should ask for for my b-day, let me know.
