h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Just out of interest what makes you think that humans have such great potential? Isnt that just false pride taking place? Humans arent even the smartest life forms on this planet which is quite shameful considering we pride ourself on our abilities to think for oursleves and not succumb to instinct. How can a race that resembles parasites instead of mammals have any potential? To be honest its actually shmaeful that a race with such as ours should set about destroying our home planet in such a manner of clumsyness and ingnorance. To be honest the human race has no potential because of the major flaws it has.

So what are you? How are you able to judge that other humans have no potential unless you are able to somehow rise above your own potential?

I mean, if you can recognise the flaws of humanity, then other humans can do so as well, and that is already a step upwards from our condition at the moment. Nobody can actually rise above their own potential, but I can tell you this: at present nobody even comes close to achieving the potential they have. The only way to understand human potential is to work at developing your own as much as possible, and then ALSO recognising that you are not so different from everybody else that other people will not also be able to do the same.

Humans have reached the stage already of being able to spot their flaws. I personally think they are not going to improve very mush without the help of some divine intervention of Evolution. Thats all
