Fridays are very good days for me too. Not only is it a day off from college for me, but also there are some great comedy programmes on during a Friday evening, which make watching TV so much more enjoyable on a Friday. If you love your sleep, as I do, it's also great for having a lie-in on Saturday mornings!

I'm really sorry to hear about that, but I have difficulty sleeping sometimes too. I am currently finishing off my English Literature/Language A-Level over the next year, but for the past two years I've been doing A-Levels in Philosophy/Ethics and History, the exams of which I did this summer. I took up English as an extra A-Level last year and have still got to complete it. My favourite comedy series are: "Blackadder" (all four series), "Only Fools And Horses," "Fawlty Towers," "My Family," "Little Britain," "The League of Gentlemen," "The Young Ones," "Red Dwarf," "The Simpsons" (if you class that as comedy) and "The Royle Family."

I did English already. Philosophy and ethics .You should run for president ,but wait then you wouldn't really need any ethics Seriously though they sound interesting subjects to study.I the philosophy of yoga and am fascinated by how they have withstood centuries yet still can be applied in modern life.Tell me more please.
Blackadder,Fawlty towers(BASIL),and Only Fools And Horses make me too.

They are indeed very interesting subjects to study but also very difficult ones, as they involve a lot of essay writing and the taking down of notes. But they are my three favourite subjects so I really wanted to do them at A-Level as you go into so much more detail than at GCSE level, plus you study a variety of topics, not just the same ones that you've already done at GCSE. Perhaps I should be a candidate for the presidency! I'm afraid I don't know very much about the philosophy of yoga, only that I think it's stood the test of time because the techniques applied centuries ago were based on an understanding of the human body and mind which hasn't really been affected by modern scientific and medicinal developments.

I imagine they are difficult subjects.I wonder how they are marked ,in the sense that the philosophy and ethics must be your interpretations .Do you prove the philosphy or ethic correct or incorrect in essay.
I hope that makes sense things are a little hazy to me on Fridays .

Don't worry, Fridays are pretty hazy days for me too! Philosophy and Ethics essays are marked on your ability to argue both sides of an arguement or an opinion, and you have to give the good and the bad side of each point you make, so for example if I said that "God can't be good because of the London bombings or Hurricane Katrina" I'd have to give my reasons and judgements for and against to get a good mark. I'm sure you would pass them with flying colours, you do write very well and I can tell you're intelligent from the way you write.

why thank you You write well too and are clearly intelligent and I like people who question life and are willing to look at two sides of an idea or opinion. Please do chat to me some more, had a conversation with a friend today about human nature and whether it does change that much over centuries.I do not think it does change and that people in essence are still the same,it is values that have changed. But for now I must Speak again soon
