2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted May 22, 2005
Went out with my friend last night then back to theres, and then back here Did something different tonight with the steak, sliced into strips, fried in frying pan (same pan I'd cooked the spicey sausage in earlier today; so the beef picked up some of teh flavour of that) chopped up a load of mushrooms, and put them in, and quite a bit garlic then put in a half glass of red wine (lefover from the previous night and I didn't relaly feel like drinking it today), and then simmered that down whilst that was going on the potatos I'd put in the oven were roasting up and they came out relaly well too probably chicken tomorrow night, or somethign with bacon

Sounds delicious 2legs Wonder what you will rustle up with the chicken?
I didn't post yesterday because of the strike,I think there is going to be 48 hour one next week
I nearly got ran over today a lorry misjudged the corner and mounted the pavement.I really got a fright felt for the rest of the day.
So I was edgy for the rest of day, kept wondering what else was going to happen...

Maaan!: I heard about their might be a 48 hour strike! I don't think I can cope with that; if there is confermation that it looks likely to happen, I'm gona drop a link into my jorunal and put up a t tempory little place we can post last night for dinner? let me think....I had, yes, I think I had ahhh, yes, nope, I've no idea! yesterday was Monday.... I had.... *thinks* ahh! yes, I had fresh filled pasta, which had salmon and somethign in it and was fantastic and from the or organic shop yet again And with that I had half a bag of their nice organic leafy salad with dressing on it, and I had some stilton cheese that needed using up, so I crumbled tha tll over the food How did I forget? Tonight, I was going to make a chicken risottoto; risotto; which I did, only I didn't use any chicken! so I strated started off with the butter melted in th pan, added sliced up bits of bacon, then onion diced, celery diced, then some relaly nice mushrooms sliced up, quite a lot of them, which was the poitn I thought about preparing the chicken, but saw how much musrhoom there was, so decided not to do the chiken and made it up as a vegetable risotto (if you ignore it having the bacon in to start with!) also added in it, was some french/green beans, just trimmed and put in whole, some garlic chopped filey and vegetable stock and towards the end put in some grated mature chedder had it with the other half of the bag of mixed salad I had last night tomorrow I'll have to do something with the chicken

You should really publish a recipe book 2legs 101 things to cook from a farm shopI always buy cookery books they look so appealing with the glossy photos and you can go back to them after a while and find a recipe you liked but have forgotten.Think you could write a good cookery book.
Having a delicious homemade steak pie,new potatoes and vegetable medley tonight.
What have you been up to today?

woke up late (after waking at about 7 AM to visit the loo ) so I started work very* late, but somehow managed to do a whole load of work in like an hour, then took a lunch break.... for two hours went to bakery to get lunch, as I couldn't decide what to have from what I had in... Got a 'New York delly' filled half baguette, and a cornish pasty.. also got a slice of carrot cake, that I ate at the end of the working day a bit after 5 PM Didn't get as much work as I'd have liked done in the afternoon (only about as much as I'd done in the one hour and a bit in the morning, but spread out over the whole afternoon ) did some playing about on the PC resurching some stuff and a few trips on to here to post and read for dinner tonight did pretty much the same as last night, but with chicken in it this time as well as all the veg, so it was a chicken risotto the chicken needed using up, have one bit of the chicken left aht I'l do something with at some point tomorrow must pop to the farm shop tomorrow probably hmmm.... not much else relaly
