Wow. Interesting name choosing on your folks part. How did that happen? My name has got to be the most common on the planet (except for China probably and maybe India). Well, my name is way common for girls and there are even more than a few guys with it. I still can't believe Ted William's son had him frozen. Have you seen a hairless chimp? Man are they ugly or what?

Well okay that makes sense but is less fun than if your name was Peter. Ted Williams is the last player in baseball to bat.400 in a season, he retired with a lifetime batting average of .344 and that was dispite spending five years in the armed services during WWII and the Korean conflict as a pilot. It's said that his eyesight was so good he could read the lable on a 78 rpm as it played. Dispite the fact that his will specified he was to be creamated and there were to be no services when he died, his son (from his second marriage) had the hospital where he died, ship Ted's body to Phonix, Az. to a place that cyogenically freezes people. Ted's daughter (from his first marrige) said that her brother told her he planned to sell their father's DNA. Some news reports said Ted's head was going to be frozen, not his whole body, probably because it's a lot more expensive to freeze a whole body.

Yech.. I would hate it if someone did something like that to me after I died.. 'Cos I want to be cremated too.. Selling his DNA??!? That is so random.. We don't even have cloning technology for humans right now -- why would someone want to buy his DNA? *eyebrow*

Well happy anniversary! I've never seen a hairless cow so I'm not sure how ugly one is. About the DNA sale. I thought that was way weird until I heard that when Ted's daughter found out about her 1/2 brother's plans they were on the phone and he told her that they should freeze dad because lots of people whould buy his DNA so they could have sons who were as good at baseball as Ted was. The daughter said "No way" and called the hospital to tell them that Ted was to be cremated only to find out that representitives of the cryno bank had already come to the hospital and taken Ted back with them to Phenoix.

Thank you! I just went and bought my boyfriend cigarettes (what a anniversary gift ;p ) But I really don't want to spend the night with him after a day of work with no cigarettes..



Poor Ted! I wouldn't want my head deep-frozen... Yech!

Hairless cows are quite ugly.. Just imagine it! I've never actually seen one..
