Please accept my apologies for not replying sooner. The fact is I didn't know messages came up for me in places other than the left-hand side of my home page. Someone has just put me straight and now I have several of these 'I'm sorry but I didn't know you stopped by' kind of replies to do.
Yes, my h2g2 'nickname' is a bit basic, I'm afraid. My name really is Walter (or one of them is) and yes, I hail from the village of Earls Colne, although I left there as a teenager some light years ago.
