the ache in my arms

This weekend I helped move an excited, nervous, grumpy, happy person out of my room and into his own (read that OWN) appartment, where I spent countless hours painting, sanding, cleaning, sweeping, moving, pushing, shoving and pulling. I am so tired. Going out on Saturday was unenjoyable because I was so tired. Hanging out on Monday for Memorial Day just made me curious if there was any edging to do. I have gone crazy. No watches (they'll get paint on them), no clock (still packed), in a paint fumey room time seems to loose all meaning and one moment it's 2pm, the next it's midnight. And there's still more to do. And yet, it's oddly satisfying. Ya know?

boy-o-boy

My dear boy is now living with me for a few days to a few weeks to a few years, depending how fast he gets his appartment. At the rate its presently going, I'm expecting him to be staying with me until June, 2004. His lawyer hates his mortage guy, and visa versa, while this beautiful appartment is just sitting empty (presnt owner ran out after the mafia hit and is living undercover in New Guinea). So my boy is grouchy, the lawyer is grouchy, the mortgage guy is grouchy and I'm just happy as can be, because it's nice to have my boy staying with me, even if it is under durstress.

And even if he's not ditching me to go to wild parties with famous models and not invite me... how come this always happens to him??? How come I never get to go to art openings or product launches or anything glamourous or stintilating...? Back to the ol' drawing board...

The travesty of UPS

Okay, I must say that they are the silliest.

I am getting a package delivered to me. It is from someone I don't know, and they UPSed it to me at my appartment. I am never ever at my appartment when UPS delievers. So they tried 3 times, and each time, I wasn't home. So now i have to get ups to deliver to my work, because they are not open when normal people are home. Don't they think that the working stiff should be able to recieve packages as well? Do they really think that they are just SOOOO much better than the US postal service that they can be closed all day on Saturday? What is with that I ask you?

work and play

I just went to California for the very veryiest first time last week. It was so fun. Spaceboy and I went to SanFransico for the week doing all sorts of exciting things such as dancing and eating yummy chinesse dim sum and going to Napa and Santa Cruz and Golden Gate park and comparing the SF MOMA to the NY MOMA (we like NY's better...) and just being lazy for a week off of work. I highly reccomend it.
