Ah, rejection...

So sue me. I fell in love with a classmate here, a smart, handsome (well, in my personal opinion, anyway), quite humorous guy. (And for those of you who DON'T know, yes, I AM a girl.) smiley - smiley

Things seemed to be going well...just until I finally got up the nerve to actually tell him I like him. He got kind of flustered, but told me that he couldn't -- there's another girl that he likes?

*sigh* What to do? I just had to get this off of my chest...but this turn of events sucks. Back to the drawing board, I suppose...

Thanks again, Southern California Edison...

...that stupid power company with the lack of power. Due to lots and lots of Christmas lights everywhere, a contract formed about eight years ago between our school district and the power company, and my school being first on the "power shutoff" list, my choir might not be able to have a Christmas concert until after New Year's!!!!!!

Yes, they've been shutting down the school after school hours about every single day (which really helps the people with clubs/sports/etc after school), and threatening at least once a week to cut it DURING school. In fact, I would have complained yesterday except--guess what--they planned to shut off the power for the WHOLE DAY. And then, didn't, so we didn't even get to go home early to ease these troubled thoughts.

And this is why I very much dislike the Southern California power company!!!!!!!!!

Don't ask for credit as a punch in the mouth often offends.

Don't get me wrong, but fundrasing is hell. I mean, I've already got a 50-pound backpack to drag around at school every day, and then I have to deal with crowds of morons hungering for candy. Morons that I'm surprised even know how to count to one dollar.

And then they have the nerve to ask for credit. And then they get all sad-puppy-faced when I say no to try to get me to reconsider.

And I have to deal with THIS as well as boring teachers, classes that are supposed to have subs but they never show up, dangerous chemistry experiments, horrendous amounts of homework, buses that pass up the bus stop and come back an hour later, and boring classmates.

This is what I live for...chaos in its supreme, undiluted form.

A riddle:

What is at the beginning of eternity
And at the end of time,
At the beginning of every end
And the end of every race?

Pure genius...brought to you by the Southern California power company.

OK, this one's a short rant.

Since it's really, really hot here, there have been some brownouts and a great chance of blackouts happening during the middle of the day, 'cause everyone's got their air conditioners on. Full blast. But can you blame us? It's TRIPLE DIGITS, for cryin' out loud!!!

Anyway, the power company had a really bright solution to this problem today: cut off the power to the local high schools.

In summary, BRIGHT IDEA, NIMRODS!!!! WE'RE HOT JUST LIKE THE REST OF THE PEOPLE AROUND HERE WHEN THERE'S NO POWER!!!!

Thank you.
