Yes, do venture out there. Most of h2g2 is 'Mostly Harmless' but if you get lost, just click on your own name and it will bring you back home.

We don't tolerate bullies for long - they tend to get bored and wander off. It's one of the things that makes me most proud about h2g2 - the lack of nasty people.
