The Titantic.
Posted Mar 14, 2010
There was this ship called the Titanic. My problem is that I always say it Ti-tan-TIC instead of Ti-tan-IC. I didn't realize I was doing this until the subject of the TitanIC came up on a long car trip. And I still can't stop.
Me: So, about the Titantic-
Sister: It's Titanic.
Me: I said Titantic.
Sister: TITANIC.
Me: That's what I said.
Sister: You said Titantic.
Me: I know.
Sister: Well it's Titanic.
Me: Is there a difference?
Sister: Yes! Titanic, Titantic, Titanic, Titantic, Titanic, Titantic.
Me: Oh.
Sister: Do you understand?
Me: Yes. Titanic.
Sister: Good. So you were saying?
Me: About the Titantic-
Sister: TITANIC! TITANIC! TITANIC!

Microwaves Are Dangerous And Should Be Banned
Posted Mar 11, 2010
Today I was making myself lunch.
This constituted taking some noodles, putting them on a plate, and putting said plate in the microwave for forty seconds.
This doesn't sound dangerous.
However, I burned my finger on the plate as I took it out of the microwave, then dropped the plate, which didn't break because it landed on my foot.
Therefore, microwaves are dangerous and should not be marketed.
If you think I'm over reacting, try typing with nine fingers.

In Which My French Teacher Tricks Me Into Making A Mistake
Posted Mar 9, 2010
It was french class, which I do fairly well in, and the teacher was asking each member of the class, one by one, what they did over the weekend. You would think this wouldn't cause anyone to worry, but my french teacher is a special case. Every time somebody made a mistake, she asked them to redecode their sentence word for word, and explain without help why they were wrong and why the right answer was right. This does help us learn, but it makes me nervous because my french teacher is very intimidating.
So I wondered what I would say.
I had gone window shopping with my sister, but I didn't know how to say "window shopping". I could have said "shopping through windows" but that would sound insane and I would have to disect my sentence. I could say that I had gone to a Star Trek exhibit at a museum, but I don't want anyone to know that I'm a trekkie.
I thought.
Then I realized that I had spent a large amount of time on the computer, it having been recently brought back from the grave. That was easy enought to say.
"What did you do last weekend?" my french teacher asked.
"I watched the computer." I answered.
I had just made a huge mistake. I had said that I "watched" the computer, which sounds insane. Fortunately, the french teacher gave me a second chance.
"You watched the computer? You WATCHED the computer? Why did you WATCH the computer?"
I couldn't admit that I had made a mistake, because then I would have to go through a long maze of why I am supposed to say one thing instead of another. So I went to my second choice in answers.
"I watched the computer so it wouldn't run away."
And there I made a bad mistake in verb tenses. For the next ten minutes I explained what my mistake was and what was the right thing to say and why.

In which I make some excuses for my absence from H2G2
Posted Mar 8, 2010
First I was banned from the computer because I did poorly on a few school assignments.
Then the computer died. During that time I visited a few times on the school computers. (with limited time, sadly)
Then a studant at my school did some major hacking and set off a virus that disconnected the internet for all of the school computers.
Then the computer at home was magically fixed (nobody knows how).
Then I was banned from the computer until it turned out that my teacher had made a mistake and not me.
Then the school computers were ressurected.
And here I am, happy to be back and even happier to make excuses.
With my luck for the past few months, I think I deserve a magical bunny rabbit to jump out of the sky and grant me three wishes.

At last I am back on the computer!
Posted Feb 7, 2010
For anyone wondering where I have been for the past 1.5 billion years, I was banned from the computer.
It was because I got a bad grade on a test.
Now, however, I am, at last, back.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
