You did a nice job with the icelandic food article. But where did you get "Rutmus" from? I've never heard of it.

I did an online search for "Icelandic cuisine", and that one came up on Recipe*zaar.com. The lady who posted it said her husband's mom made it. Maybe it's not widely known!

I'm pretty familiar with most of the icelandic foods (well, the ones you're likely to encounter at thorrablot's) and I've never heard of it, or the sauce. Though, there is a chance it might be a custom from the some isolated part of the western fjords. Those folk eat the strangest things.
The mashed potatoes and the mashed rutabagas are, as far as I know, not eaten together. They are usually two seperate items and are typically eaten without sauce and then usually with meat, such as the sheeps heads.
Anyway, thank you for adding to my entry and completing it. I was quite happy with it, but you've made it *much* better.
