Hi, it seems I am the first real biology student to respondto your initial post more than two years ago. I'm graduating this year at the university of Antwerp. The studying has been tougher than tought, since it took me six years instead of the normal four

Where I see a great future for biology, is in the new emerging field of bioinformatics; an intersecton between life sciences and information technology which should lead eventually to a virtual model of al the biochemical interactions going on in a living organism.

I'm interested to see how other biology students see this, see get to that keyboard!

Hey, I got a reply. Thanks for visiting my site. Right now I'm preparing my finals to the undergraduate degree ("Vordiplom" in Germany). I guess I am one of the more traditional biologists. I would like to do work in some ethological field. I'm just afraid there won't really be any jobs.
Bioinformatics is a trend right now I guess. Since I love doing stuff on the computer I think it would be a fun thing to do (I used to do animations of cell membranes on my old Amiga). From the lessons at university I realized that there is still a whole lot of things to do in bioinformatics. I think it would be great to use it to get rid of all those anatomy courses (and cut up the animals).
Well, I don't yet what the graduate years will bring. Since you graduate this year, what is (or was) your major by the way?
