The Atelier has so many lurkers I thought I'd post this here. I've blogged about Banksy. Go to my home page and follow the yellow click road.

Thank you for that. I really enjoyed the street stuff much better than the museum stuff. Intelligent grafitti/street art like that really is to be admired.
Some of the animatronics were just a bit...they didn't sit well with me, but maybe my reaction was the whole point?
The one animatronic which had the biggest impact on me (much to my own surprise), was Tweety Pie. It really touched a nerve. Maybe because it seemed to say so much about ageing & fading as the years pass. (Or maybe not).

I just felt the animatronics were one dimensional. Maybe it's because I do actually get that meat is dead animals, and am almost equally disturbed by the anthropomorphisation of animals (such as the movie 'Babe') and the eating of meat. I still eat meat occasionally, mind.
I once went to a talk by a butcher where he started with what was very obvously half a sheep and ended up with crown roasts and cutlets, and it was fascinating how a corpse turned into food before our eyes.
Glad you liked the street stuff. I do think it's his best work.
Cheers
Ben
