relatively unique event
Posted Jun 13, 1999
participated in an event that occurs regularly but mercifully infrequently: high school graduation. what made this all the more interesting was that i was able to participate in a more central aspect by posing as the chairman of the school board and thereby shake each graduates hand, give them their empty diploma holder, congratulate and wish them good luck with feigned sincerity.
some general observations:
most not good at eye contact
many sweaty hands
few are very adept at shaking hands
probably have no idea what is waiting in store for them on this planet
