Mr Prophet (General Purpose Genre Guru)

First real update of my user page in weeks.

I'm now officially out of the closet in terms of my h2g2 persona. Yes: I am a roleplay gamer. I freely admit to having played Dungeons & Dragons, and many other games besides. I am not ashamed! I am a gamer, and I'm proud of it!

Heh; what a liberating experience.

Cabby

Perhaps there should be a Roleplayer's anonymous forum?

"Hi, I'm Cabby and I'm a barbarian elf, but I'm dice free for two weeks now." smiley - smiley
It's as well to come clean. Prempts those embarrassing moments when your friends find that lost d20 down the back of the sofa... smiley - erm

I have heard a bit about Dungeons & Dragons before on a programme on the BBC (I think it was I Love the 1980's, I don't know if you ever saw that?). Anyway it sounded like fun but I still don't know a lot about it, and no-one I know knows either. If you'd care to tell me stuff about it, I'd love to know.

If you follow the link off my space (the one for 'roleplaying') you'll go to the roleplaying section of my homepage, whichg has a basic, and at times perhaps even useful, summary of the roleplaying experience.

You might also try one or several of the many gaming webzines and forums out there on the net. Gaming Outpost is pretty good.

The clossest i have come to playing a RPG is dungeons and dragons on the mega drive.*I think if i did play it i would like it but i don't know anyone that plays it so it would be hard to start.

*a good game but it would be better if you could save it it take about 10 hours from start to finish and thats if you know what your doing the first time i finished it i took a week off work and left the game pluged for in 3 days
