i'm really sorry about that... my parents did everything in their power to keep me away from the phone, so i couldn't make plans with you guys. i'm so disappointed!!!!

anyway... i'll definitely be back, i liked NY too much not to visit! my god, subways are awesome!!!!!!! so maybe i'll be able to come back minus the parental baggage and see you. or maybe you'll be here for stanford. either way.

two questions then:

1) where did you go, and how were the subways?

2) were you REALLY asleep at 11:00 am on saturday?

1. we went to greenwich village, brooklyn, 5th avenue, grand central station, battery park... everywhere really. the subways are SO awesome. we only got lost a couple times... damn express trains. but anywho, i really like the subway.

2. i was kind of awake when the phone rang... i just hadn't opened my eyes yet. and i had NO intention of getting out of my sleeping bag at that point. i heard my dad tell the caller that i was asleep... and then i got up and asked him who called. he said it was "a boy" who said he'd call back... i wondered which of you it was, and i was going to call you, but my dad was like, "go take your shower so we can get going!" shortly afterwards we left to go shopping. but you have to remember that when it's 11am there, it's 8am here. so i didn't sleep in THAT much...

battery park = district
greenwich village = neighborhood
brooklyn = borough

1. okay... the SHOPS on 5th avenue, the actual PARK in battery park, the NYU parts of greenwich village, and a pizza place in brooklyn. better?
