I've slept on and read the responses this evening.
I intend to stay on h2g2.
However much I was upset last night it was all over a misunderstanding, I'd forgotten how big h2g2 had become and that not everyone knows me as well as they used to when there were far fewer researchers about.
So please don't go, however I'm still working out whether to stay in the Prez race. Thaat needs some more thought.

well, i'm still here, not for lack of trying. i made it 13 hours without coming back on... 
but i've decided that i'm far too addicted to this place to be able to leave. thanks for trying to get me to stay... keep in touch, okay?

I for one am glad you are staying, DD. I hope you don't choose to leave the prez elections because you would make a great prez, and you have helped to make the elections fun. And I am saying that even though it would mean I would become #2 in the poll if you left, so it shows I really mean it
