thank you! i'm surprised it's only been a year of H2G2, it feels like ten! lol!

i have been... well, i'm wonderful now, but i wasn't always, so i'll go with "good". life is going well with me. i WAS interested in NYU, actually, but i didn't get in. i DID get in to the University of Southern California, which is in the top 1% of colleges that high school seniors apply to. it's a really good school, and i was really fortunate to get in. i've already registered for my classes and everything; i'm so excited!!!!!

Awwwww.... That's right... I remember about your college now... YAY!!! CONGRATS ON THAT AS WELL!!!

What classes have you registered for!?? I assume you will be a full time student, living on campus!?? I remain a part timer living at home...

My classes, which start August 20th, are Intro to Sociology, Intro to Shakespeare, Women of Color and Jazz Styles: America's Music. These are all general education requirements. The American education system is screwed up-- we pay to take classes we have no interest in... it seems a waste of time, but I guess that keeps most of the riff-raff from sticking to college...



My friend from England is going to meet me in a few weeks... I AM VERY EXCITED!!!

And I'll see the EAGLES perform in concert in August... so... YAY!!!

yes, i'll be living on campus... the only air-conditioned building on campus! *big grin*

let's see, classes. acting 101, theatre 101, text studies for production, love and sex in the ancient world (part of my gen. ed. requirements- and i agree with you about those!!!), a web design class, a weight lifting class... i think that's it. as you can tell, my course load is mostly theatre-related, which is very much a good thing!!!!! my classes start the monday after yours.

i went to the sacramento (california) area to go whitewater rafting. it was WAY fun and the river guides were SOOOOO good-looking! eeek!!! we also went to San Francisco and the Napa Valley... all in all, it was fun. and i got a great tan without getting sunburned!!!! hooray!!!!

I LOOOVE San Francisco-- I have been there once, with the school band. That was grooviness!!! YAY!!! I didn't get to see China Town or Haight Ashbury, so I VERY MUCH WANT TO RETURN!!!

We did take a ferry to Alcatraz, and I got to be the chaperone for my group(so many people had to have one person 18 or older with them... ).

i used to go to SF a lot when i was little. but recently, money troubles, so no big vacations. but i was really glad i got to go this time!

ah, china town! i wish i'd gotten to go there the other day! we didn't have time to do everything i wanted to... oh well. i'll just have to go again!

One of my best friends at that time went to China Town, and said it was really gross, but he got this cool little Buddha to wear around his neck, and I was very jealous. I should've stayed his girlfriend, and then I would've gone there, too... but no... I was caught up in this stupid guy I knew before I knew him...
