Hi! (Trying to remember) ... I got a forward from you about the letter you were sending as the follow up. Was that one of them?

oh dear... no no.
After that, I got a response from both Mark and Peta, and I tried to forward them both to the embassy group (ie to you, ottox, me) and I thought it worked, cuz they appeared in my inbox. I can forward them directly to you if you didn't get them. Or if you still have the password/username, you can just retrieve them from the embassy's altavista box. No rush, I just wanted to know if they were recieved cuz I remember having a bit of a problem sending the things.

Kes,
Do you think any sort of response is required for those replies?
I haven't sent anything, but I figure just an acknowledgement and thanks to Peta would be nice, just so she knows we got it! (of course, if she peruses this forum, she'll know, but either way...

Yes - sorry I haven't commented on them - I'm having a big dose of RW work at the moment ..... Yes, I think just a short acknowledgement would be good.
Do you have any thoughts on where to proceed from here?

I understand what you mean. School's just started again about a week ago, and I have been neglecting most of my OL projects/obligations. At any rate, I will send a (belated) acknowledgment to Peta. As for where to proceed, it's difficult to say, especially seeing as how many people have just suddenly got a lot less available (due of course to september and to the problems in the US). I am thinking that maybe we should proceed with the Guide; that is, rebuild the embassy one language at a time. If we as regular Users (as opposed to Editors who are obligated) are able to encourage people to use the new German-language program, and hopefully help people to do that, maybe we can be of help. Meantime, we can also try and help other-lingual Users... at least let them know that if this first leg of H2G2's plan goes well, we could see other languages coming out in the future.
In any case, I shall have to have a look around to see if anything's changed during my 2-or-so-week absence. Let me know what you think.

Yes. Will do. I have just returned from a 2.5 week absence (in the RW), so I have some backlog to catch up on! I think your "one language at a time" approach is the best way to fit in with the Editors ... shame they can't move more quickly, but that's life, I suppose. See you around!
