notes for an upcoming entry

There's a cafe' in Old Montreal that serves great coffee and sandwiches. Nearby is the clock tower that looks over the harbor. One can go up the steps and look out for free, though it gets claustrophobic at times -- the stairway is too narrow for two people at some points. It's great fun. Good spot for photos, too, especially if some of your group stays outside near the base, and you get each other.
If you ever visit Montreal, go to Eaton Center. It's vast -- five floors of elegant shops, mostly clothing, each with a different s4et of tasteful music. They don't go for piped-in Muzak; they do CDs.
In Eaton Center, be sure to stop at the currency exchange center, which uses bank rates for its exchange -- much better than you'll get anywhere, even from a bank (the bank, after all, needs more profit).
I'll have to mention Marche later.
