Since the Science is crap-thread is long and diverse already I thought I might as well take my suggestions for the h2g2 Maths society over here 
I suppose there would be links to all guide entries on maths, for a start, and some interesting examples - probability theory comes to mind. One goal could be to try to write more articles on maths. I've noticed that there isn't even an article on the number i yet, and I feel there should be...might even get around to writing it, who knows 
Let me know if you set up a page, I'll try to come up with good input.
