Depends on what you want it to be. Some say its a babelfish, and stick it in their ear. A fish someone once gave me developed a whole personallity of his own and swims quite happily around the guide, going by the name of Leazes. But some people have them as chocolate...mmmm.....
You get to choose what type of it is.
