new discworld novel
Posted Oct 31, 2000
Well, as of this morning I am the proud owner of the new Terry Pratchett novel, 'The Truth'. Hmmm...... not really much of an interesting journal entry. Maybe I should have waited til I'd read it and given some kind of comment, but I stupidly agreed it was a Christmas present (don't ask) so I won't read it until then.

latin
Posted Sep 15, 2000
This is probably an utterly weird statement to be making here, but I really wish I'd been taught Latin in school rather than French. Okay, at the time I might not have really appreciated it so maybe I'll put it on my list of things to do when I retire (I'm currently 22, so I have a bit of a wait), along with learning to play the piano. Why not sooner? 'Cos I have too much else to do, of course - and Latin isn't exactly going to change in the meantime!!

internet addiction
Posted Aug 30, 2000
Oh dear... I'm obviously an addict now. I've been denied internet access for the last week-plus due to a faulty modem - now it's fixed and I can't wait to get back to my email and surfing!!

I had a job interview this morning, and I'm hoping it went well. If anybody actually happens to read this, could you please keep your fingers crossed for me? Thankyou!
