Many obscure artists are often overlooked and their songs doomed to the vaults that tend to trickle out one or two every couple of years. So I got thinking, where can you lookup or find this info? Not tidbits, or partial listings of songs, but the complete song details and info. Plus not needing to be connected (to the internet) to lookup this information. Other sources tend to be time consuming or just to difficult to follow. So I wrote a small program that lists all of the details regarding the first 20 years, every artist, every label, every song, every album cover. It was intended as a tool to educators, researchers, and others that are interested in knowing the breadth of Motown.
Whether searching for information on songs recorded, or how many artists were actually involved in the music machine. So if you are researching Motown, or just want to know more it's free for the asking.[ evan/at/mayosoftware.us ]
It is huge! Listing over 16,000 songs, 700+ artists, 1400 US album covers, hundreds of images of singles. When I say small 60mb download, that expands to 250mb. I do mean detailed. There is also a feature to view YouTube videos. Contact me or post here since I cannot put links. And will send you to download page. It is clean, no ads, no spyware, nothing detrimental.
