Dune The sci fi channel movie

The new Dune movie is six hours long. Looking at some of the particular scenes and then reading tme in the book, it seems like it would take 8 to 12 hours to get the whole book on film....

One of the three guys who "works" in the department called in sick. Now, why didn't I think of that? Got tommorow off. Should I go to see fireworks if I have to get up at 5 am?
