h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello there, I am a bit new here, and was just working on my personal space, and I was wanting to put a smiley into the title of my page. I tried the text version and GuideML tags and failed to achieve smiley perfection .

I can't help but notice on my travels that no one seems to have a smiley in their page title either - can it not be done, or am I missing something?

It can be done, vogonpoet. I added a Smiley to my homepage so you can see one for yourself.

I inserted this code into my page:
<SMILEY TYPE="smiley"/>

In order to use smileys, you have to change your page from Text format to GuideML format. To do this:

1) Press the 'edit' button on your homepage and scroll down to the bottom of the Edit page.
2) Change the radio button at the bottom from Plain Text to GuideML.
3) Click on the 'Change Style' button.
4) After the page loads again, click on the button marked 'Update Introduction.'

If you don't follow all the steps or if your smiley code includes a typo, your smiley won't work.

It isnt in the text I want to put the smiley - have a few already, its in the page title . In your case, next to Fragilis the Melodical rather than below it.

Sorry. I misunderstood what the question was.

I'm afraid there is no way to put a Smiley in the Title of your entry or Personal Space. h2g2 only allows plain text in the title. If you try to put GuideML in there, it will either not show up or you will see the code instead of the picture.
