Hello there, and welcome to the guide.

My name's Njan, and I'm one of the Assistant Community Editors (ACEs) here at the guide... (our job is welcomeing newcomers, scouting out new (and preferably exciting) guide entries, and the like). Hence I'm here in my official capacity to welcome you. smiley - smiley

You seem to have sussed the guide out.. and you actually have a user page, which is unusual for anyone newer than about 10 weeks. *malicious grin*.. well done! smiley - smiley.. If, however, you do need any assistance at all getting to grips with the guide, working out how to use forums, learning GuideML, etc, then your friendly neighbourhood ace (moi) is here to help. Please do feel free to either drop me a message here (I'll notice eventually) or page me at my user page (click on my name and go to my message centre)

On the editor front.. if I were you, I'd wait until you're pretty conversant with the guide, and possibly until you have an entry approved (which if you get writing will be relatively soon.. the queue to be approved is shorter than it has been.. it's down to ~600 entries. smiley - smiley ). If you don't want to edit entries, though, you could always become an ACE, and do what we do. (Incidentally, if you want any more information on ACEs, ask me, or visit the /Ace's Homepage/ which is linked to from the h2g2 front page)

Anyway... here's hoping your stay at the guide is as fun as mine has been.

Kindest regards,

- Njan (assorted titles), your neighbourhood ACE.

Thanks for that! I've actually been incredibly slack over the past 4 weeks--have been working hard on a novel in addition to the daily grind of work--which has left very little time for the fun things in life, like H2G2! But thankyou, again, it's nice to see a good community feel in a site for a change! smiley - smiley
