This is an extemely good place to run up your phone / internet bill,
Its highly addictive
I'm sure one of the aces (h2g2's meeters and greeters) will pop round and see you soon
But in the mean time as your new you might want to have a look at the newcomers page http://www.h2g2.com/A5752
and maybe say Hi in the forums
The best way I have found to get to know this place is to click on other researchers names (which takes you to their home page) and see where they have been going and contributing to.
Remember if its coloured its probably a link

This place is cool. I've decided that this place is going to be my new online place. I want to figure out everything about puting together the web page thing. Yay!

I don't think it's possible to figure everything here out. There's an awful lot of it, and some of it makes no sense at all. But that's the real fun, isn't it?
By the way, my name is Big 'Evil' Dan, and I am an H2G2 Guardian Angel. If you need any help around here, don't be afraid to ask me, or any of the other Saints. (To get in touch, you can visit http://www.h2g2.com/A300943, visit my page by clicking on my name above, or just hitting reply).
You also might want to check of the H2G2 Quick Reference Guide. It's a very large group of interesting/important links.

Thanks! The one good and unconfusing thing around here is that people are freindly. Too often is it that you go online to find angry surly b******s that wanna insult you and hack into your computer. It's a reliefe to finally find a happy place. =)

And not only are we friendly, some people are smart too! That's another thing that I like. We can all have intelligent, friendly conversations and entries...

Yes indeed! I spent about a half hour reading a conversation two or three people had about harry Potter books. Rather interesting really... They we're very smart and not quick to judge or be angry. All praises to this wonderfull site as well as DNA.

There are probably conversations about everything imaginable on this illustrious website, and if there's not one, you can always start one... As a matter of fact, I like Harry Potter very well! Actually I like most books very well...

As do I. I only read the 1st one and started the Second. I have all three (in hardback. Woohoo!) I got distracted by the Autobiography of Salvador Dali. I have about 3 new books that i haven't read that I'm itching to. Thank god for summer.

Yes- I'm currently reading an anthology about sisters... it's pretty good. I can't decide between reading and posting here, so I think I'll post a little longer

An anthology about sisters? Very cool. The lives of average people are pretty interesting. I always talk to people on the bus, they all think I'm a dope feind and ignore me but sometimes people talk about being young and old ladies talk about their grandsons. Very fun. I'm always carefull about the bipolar people though.

Yeah it's pretty good, lots of essays and short stories written by famous woman authors about their sisters or fictional. As you can tell I actually did read some yesterday... You gotta be careful about those people on the bus though.

Yeah, I was reading all last night. Being on this site reminded me that I have almost all the Hitchiker books. I read Hitchhiker's GTTG in 6th grade but back then I didn't care and I just wanted to look like I was reading for reading time. I read almost all of it last night. It's so funny.

Yes, very funny. We have "The Complete HHGTG" and so they're all in one book and easy to read. The funniest thing about them is I think the randomness of what happens in them.

I like the way they kinda make fun of human life. Like, how we still think digital watches are pretty cool. It's a bit of wackyness. I heard they are making a HHGTTG movie. They had a miniSeries or something before but now they are going to have a full on Holywood film of it. I'm very excited. It's a shame I couldn't direct it though.

Sounds like fun, although I don't know if it'll be as funny as when I picture things in my head...
