h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Welcome to the Guide - I am one of the Assistant Community Editors (ACEs) - part of our job is to make new researchers feel at home.
You've already started on your home page, so I guess that you are settling in OK! Another part of our job is to help where needed, so if you have any queries/problems etc drop one of us a note - most of us put ACE after our IDs so that we can be recognized.

There's lots of fun things to do here, and some bizarre stuff as well.
There is also a slightly serious side as well, but don't bother too much about that unless you want to start submitting articles.

Feel free to drop into places unannounced, nobody minds; in fact it's expected. Be careful of the coffe shop, though - if the coffee machine isn't working you may just end up serving it yourself!
