Hello Galigan. I think you're a really hoopy frood and I like your guestbook gadgety thing. I've kidnapped the fishtank, and my fishes are swimming forwards.
But they can't sing.

i can teach them if you like. i charge minimum rates ()and by the end you may adorn your fish with the smiley!
anyway, nice page you've got there for a newbie. it took me weeks before i could use any GuideML! and thanks for the mention. i'm glad i am an inspiration to the new members.
p.s. thanks for joining the League. when it comes to madness we don't disappoint! although we are not quite in the same league as the MotMV.

I'm joining anyone around....
And I can find smilies, but only dolphins swim round here. Which reminds me, I didn't see a dolphin smilie.... bah!
Hello Galigan!
Galigan Posted Jul 30, 2005
yeah i noticed that! maybe you should pop off at the campaign for new smilies and ask for a dolphin one.
what do you mean by only dolphins swim around here? i'm confused.

Galigan Posted Sep 7, 2005

Author of the artemis fowl books. I go through phases of being him. Artemis, not Eion. If you want to see my phases, go to www.livejournal.com/users/afowl .

Oh, yes, year 2.
I'm a 8 year old and a 35 year old in a 14 year old's body. And I claim to be 17.

I can't say i've read any Artemis Fowl yet but it's on my list. have you finished the new Harry Potter? i didn't think it was as good as the last one.
Hello Galigan!
cupati Posted Sep 7, 2005
I don't like Harry Potter much. I read them - I need to find out what happens - but that's mostly due to the hype.

Galigan Posted Sep 7, 2005
yeah me too. i thought the 5th book was one of the best but the new one didn't seem to finish very well. i found it rather abrupt almost. i like the discworld books mostly (i have about 60 at home that i haven't read yet) and my favourite trilogy is His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.

I like the Dark Materials - I don't like Phillip Pullman. He disses the Narnia books, when he doesn't realise that they're two sides of the same coin. I'm a Discworld fanatic - I have not read the most recent, going postal, because my Dad is only buying it when it came out in paperback.
I'm sure I've just said this to someone.... I know who, too.
Hello Galigan!
Galigan Posted Sep 7, 2005
what does he say about Narnia? i only know him through his books which are good. i also like the Sally Lockhart series. Narnia are good though also.
i thought the newest discworld book was A Hat Full Of Sky? i must be a bit behind.
Hello Galigan!
Galigan Posted Sep 7, 2005
Philip Pullman's work is very anti religion, especially in Materials, but i didn't realise there was any religious undertone in Narnia (probably because i haven't read any of them for years).
i read somewhere that they're making Materials into a film but they're going to take out all the anti religious stuff, which will mean almost all of the story will be different and probably americanised and made rubbish.
if people get offended by something they should just not watch it and not ruin it for everyone else who likes the original story. i get really annoyed with censorship sometimes. it's far to nannyish recently.
(appologies to you if you're religious in any way)

I'm.... kinda religious. I don't mind the books - I mind him.
