Morning Galigan!
I just thought that I'd better drop by with and home-made to explain myself.
You were quite justified in being a mite miffed with my comments on the unintelligable thread; but I had been thinking more along the lines of much younger/impressionable people than yourself; who are perhaps still trying to learn spelling etc in junior schools. Nor did I mean to imply laziness. My Daughter has obtained a Degree in Maths; so I know that laziness is not an issue here.
The 'littlies' are the ones who will have difficulty in communicating when they get to the leaving school/trying to get into Uni/applying for jobs stage.
I have been in the position of having to read through application letters; and unfortunately, it is just such a lack of writing ability, which puts these applications on the 'not today' pile. They may be just the person we want; but they do not get the same chance.
Take care
Scorpio

Hi Scorpio, thanks for dropping by.
You didn't have to explain yourself, I don't really mind. I think the reason I took any slight offence to it might have been because of other things. In fact I think that was when there was something on the radio with a presenter saying students don't do anything other than drink. I understand where your comment came from. Don't worry about it, really, and thanks for coming by to clear the air. The consideration is much appreciated.
Thank you.

Why thank you. It's sort of grown since I started. At first there was just the beginning bit about luggage and stuff and that was about it. Then I got my fish and it went on from there.
