Here Autumn/Fall is beginning to make its presence felt in bones, so I'm piling on the polar fleeces.
The best thing is that all my favourite winter foods are back on the menu - love red beans and rice!

Your starting to layer your clothes and I starting to lose mine. Winter foods are very good. my favorite is chicken noodle soup with a grilled cheese and tomatoe sandwitch. yummy.

You could almost combine the two:
either,
chicken and tomato noodle, with cheesy croutons
or,
a grilled cheese, tomato and chicken noodle sandwich
The possibilities are endless!

Correction:
chicken and tomato noodle soup, with cheesy croutons
not, chicken and tomato noodle, with cheesy croutons, although chicken and tomato noodles, with cheesy croutons might also be quite pleasant.

I'm back again (I think) assuming the world doesn't colapse on me. How have you been?

Ticking along nicely, thank you.
Not making pots and pots of money, but then not losing bucket loads either.
I am producing some of the best radio news on New Zealand regional television, and today I bought two rather nice business shirts for $40.
How are things at your end?

I would rather be making little money than losing lots any day. It is very good to read about the job going well. Things have quieted down on my end for the most part. good to be back on site and all.

And it's good to have you back, Courtney.
A cold snap has well and truly hit New Zealand. Snow's hitting the southern extremities of the country, but here in Taranaki, it's mostly wind and rain - lots of rain.
The job is not without its problems, but I'm losing sleep or hair over it at the moment. 7 Taranaki Television celebrated its first birthday last Wednesday, so I managed to get some free food and cheap champagne out of them.
Tried a good new restaurant last week, reasonably priced, spicy food and plenty of different breads on offer.

The part of Massachusetts I live in we get mostly rain and freezing rain during the winter.
Anything you can get free is always good.
This weekend a friend and me are going to be trying a new place, she hasn't told me what kind of food they have though. I think she's afraid I will chicken out of going. I hope it's good though.
Thanks for the welcome back too

* reciprocates *
I hope you have a good time at the new restaurant too. It's always to good to have somewhere else to go, if you get bored of the same surroundings.
The number of eateries in town is increasing exponentially. A new development plan would see the deserted mall-space under the local cineplex into an ethnic food alley. The big library/museum project which has just started will include the tendering of space for cafes, catering, etc. Another plan to turn an historic building into a bus terminal will feature cafes ad nauseum.
The thought of all endless paninis with basil and sundried tomato pesto is enough to turn the stomach of even this dedicated foodie.
And as for getting free stuff, hey, it's as important a skill to a journalist as shorthand.

Glad to hear it, honeysuckle.
I'm still where I was, doing what I was, since last we communicated. How about yourself?

same as I was doing before. bartendering and selling lobsters. boring stuff really. I have a few job interviews this week so maybe I'll be doing something new soon.

Good luck with those!
I admit I'm intrigued by the concept of selling both liquor and lobster. I have this image of a martini glass with a huge lobster tail hanging over the rim...

Those are what my work nightmares are all about. serving lobsters in wine glasses with a side of gin for dipping. all very strange and unusual. one of the places is still selling seafood but the other is in a printing company which i think would be cool but I will take the highest bidder at this point.

To dream of seeing lobsters denotes grear favors and riches will endow you.
To dream of a wine-glass foretells that a disappointment will affect you seriously, as you will fail to see anthing pleasing until shocked into the realization of trouble.

So perhaps you should what you find most rewarding but be sure not to put off by past events.
