Hello...
I'm the Sub-editor for your entry http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A560404
It's very good, but I'm a little perplexed about some of your formatting, and I didn't want to change it without asking you first:
"UCIRI (the Union of Indigenous Communities of the Isthmus Region), located in the southern
Mexican state of Oaxaca, was the first group of farmers in Mexico to export coffee through the fair
trade model. Since the introduction of fair trade practices, the incomes of their over 2,000 member
families have doubled. This stability has also enabled UCIRI to establish the region's first public
bus line, build the only secondary school in the area and build a community health clinic.
These are just a few reasons why fair trade is such a challenging, revolutionary and important idea,
and why people must be encouraged to buy fairtaded produce and join in the campaign for fairness
in international trade, putting people before profits."
The first paragraph is in italics, but there is no attribution or quotation marks. Is this an actual quote or just a paragraph that's got italicised by mistake?
Sorry about that...
Emily

Believe I may have got the quote from IFAT, but can't verify this as the IFAT website has been shut down temporarily by their provider!

Hi Emily,

The whole para and the goals of fair trade are quotes from IFAT. Who have also increased their membership to 158.
Also It appears a link has fallen victim to the moderators, any idea why?
