I'm not really here Started conversation Apr 23, 2001
Hello. I don't know if you know me, but for some reason I can't quite remember now I came to your page and saw the Opera thing. I went and downloaded it earlier today and it's marvellous! I've only been using it for a while and I fell in love with it already. The only thing that seems to be a problem is that it won't run the games on the Cartoon Network site. I'm not sure why, but I have to keep IE around for that.
Otherwise, thank you again, it's a lot quicker, and once I had learnt how to use all the bits and pieces it's easier as well. And doesn't go back a page when I use the delete (or backspace as I hear it is properly called) key.
Thanks thanks thanks.
And to show my appreciation, I stick two fingers up at Bill Gates.
Thank you thank you thank you.

Glad to be of help Mina, I've followed some of your postings in the past so you r in my star rating of h2g2!

And pass the word about opera it's fantastic, and is much more adaptable, have you tried looking thru the preferences? they is very adaptable and mine is set to no graphics so is very fast on a site like this, with people using smileys all the time!
VIVA OPERA!
Thank you thank you thank you.

Star rating? oh you won't see that, so *blush*.
I have flicked through the preferences a bit, and managed to sort a few bits out, but I'm just so excited at all the little things I can do with it to make it all mine.
I hadn't thought of turning the graphics off, but h2g2 runs so fast anyway with Opera that I don't think I will worry for now.
Thank you thank you thank you.

The speed of my connection and spec of my pc means I don't want to spend the xtra time to download graphics unneccesarily.
Smiley's still look cool tho!
Thank you thank you thank you.

I turned the smilies off, but so many were in there already that I get most of them anyway, and the speed is fine. I even go backwards and forwards at the speed of light!
(Well, it seems like it.) I just can't get Java to work in it.
Thank you thank you thank you.

Personally, I don't like java (or flash) tho you can download the plug-ins from opera that will do this, can't see the point myself!
Also I wish the guide wouldn't use java (eg who's onlinepopup) and get annoyed very easily by gimmicks like this!
Thank you thank you thank you.

Well yes, so do I, but I've tried to use online booking forms and buy things online they never work properly in Opera. But now I know I can download them, I'll give that a go.
