The vast majority of popular web browsers support some sort of view source function that will display the HTML contents of any web page.

The benefit of h2g2's test & testuserpage facilities is that it shows the stored GuideML rather than the HTML arriving at your browser. And it adds no additional ability to copy the page.

It's certainly been a great help to me, & others, in helping people sort out their pages without having to reverse engineer the GuideML from the derived HTML.

I suppose h2g2 could have made the test & testuserpage facilities available only to me as GuideML Guru. Thereby licensing me, by default, as the only person 'allowed' to help users & stroking my ego. But my ego is fine without the help & also the current arrangement cuts down on the workload as people can sort out a lot of their own queries/problem

Maybe Mk is a really happy-go-lucky kinda guy in real life. You know, always smiling and helping old people across the road and all that!

Maybe he just spits blood on H2 to keep the real MK from topping himself. A bit like Slim Shady but in reverse....

Um, look I know I'm new and have *no right to interfere* and *don't know what I'm talking about* (just thought I'd say it before Matthew says it)But, it seems to me that this Wings person copied the pages in an entirely legal way because someone had taking ove the editor person's personality and she/he was worried that Matthew's pages would get deleted without trace. Which probably took up a fair bit of her time, when she didn't really have to do that, other than out of the kindness of her own heart. Then, when Matthew comes back he hurls abuse at her when it seems that all she was doing was trying to prevent his months of hard graft dissapearing without trace. There's gratitude for you(!)

As for this AAA thing, judging by what you've written and what the page actually looks like you've never even looked at the page Matthew. 've seen both the GA and AA pages and, other than a click link and it'll take you to such and such section of the page, they couldn't be more different! Of course they're going to be a little alike seeing as they're both recruiting researchers to become Angels of sorts!

Surely, if Peta or any of the othe Powers That Be say the pages, or page or whatever, are OK, then that should be the end to it?!!

Seeing as Wings has left H2G2, it would probably be better to let things lie, after all, the page(S) isn't really doing any harm is it?
